As tradition has required, we had purchased Jazz tickets last fall and it just so happened there was a game on Bradey's birthday. Monday, February 28th, the Jazz played the Boston Celtics in Salt Lake and we were there. Yessireeeeeeee. We met Tea and fam in the canyon and picked Bradey up and we were ready to go. His choice of eatery was Applebees, so we ate in Layton and then off to SLC. They sure have changed things since we were there last. No longer can you park without a prepaid pass in the nice parking lot across from the arena. Nooooooooo!! You have to pay $14 (yes, I said fourteen) to park two blocks away at Crown Burger. If you eat there, the parking is free, but we didn't know that the parking thing had changed. We circled that stupid block twice trying to find a way into that lot. The walk didn't hurt us and the night was mild, so all was well. Bradey had earned and saved money to buy a new jersey and even bought Kenz a cute hoodie. Then we climbed to the top of the nose bleed section to watch the game. Great view and great game!! The Jazz really played hard and I was impressed especially having a new coach and new players. It was a very nice evening and came and went without incident. Bradey stayed with us and got to sluff school (although he did have homework and assignments to complete this morning) and we will be taking him back to the canyon to meet his mom right shortly. 12 years old!! How did that happen so fast??
It's always fun to do something a little out of the "norm" and enjoy some one-on-one time. It was a great night and has been an enjoyable day. Love ya Bradey boy!!!
