Every Fall, Brad gets the bug to go to Yellowstone. I think it's to get him in the mood for hunting season. He loves to go see the wildlife. So I was able to get reservations at a nice place and we spent a couple of days just traveling through and looking for all things wild. Didn't find much of anything. I think it was too cold and rainy. But we always go later in the year to avoid the crowds so the weather is always questionable. But we had a nice time just being together.
Cozy living room!! I could live here!!
View of the Henry's Fork River from the front deck. Too cold and wet to enjoy it however!!
Our little home away from home.
What we found when we took a one way scenic byway in the Park.
Outside the Visitor Center at Mammoth Hot Springs
The Park does offer some beautiful scenery.
We just enjoyed our second day and toured some back roads right there in Island Park. It's a beautiful place.
Both pictures above are Island Park Reservoir pictures and taken from the dam. One from the reservoir side and one from the river side. The reservoir was very low.
Big Springs pics. Can't go through Island Park without a visit to Big Springs to feed the fish. The water is so clear (and cold) and there are some BIG fish to try to chum out from underneath the bridge. It's always a challenge. We keep talking about staying during the summer and taking our atvs and roaming the back gravel roads. One of these times, we will actually get it done!!
